Where everything is possible and nothing is what it seems

Labyrinth is my favourite film ever, I thought I would just get that out of the way. Labyrinth is a film made by Jim Henderson's Creature Shop and Lucas Film, released in 1986. So as you can probably already tell it's a fantasy film. It's one of those best of the 80's films that remind you of your childhood that you can watch over and over again and still watch in wonder as it all unfolds. I didn't have it on video for years, so I had to settle with driving my mum mad by watching it every Christmas when it was shown on Channel 4.  I bought it on video a little while later and then on DVD when it came out.

What is Labyrinth?
It's the story of a young girl called Sarah and her journey into a fantastic world. Frustrated with babysitting on yet another weekend night, Sarah a girl with an active imagination - summons the Goblins from her favourite book, "Labyrinth" to take her baby step-brother Toby away. When little Toby actually disappears, Sarah must follow him into the world of the fairy tale to rescue him from the wicked Goblin King Jareth.
Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered.....
Sarah has only 13 hours in which to reach the Goblin King's castle. Guarding the Goblin King's castle is The Labyrinth itself - a twisted maze of deception, populated with outrageous characters and unknown dangers. To get through it in time to save Toby, Sarah will have to outwit Jareth by befriending the very Goblins who protect him, in hope that their loyalty isn't just another illusion in a place where nothing is as it seems.

Six Things you Never Knew about the Labyrinth
1.) Sarah's last name is Williams
2.) In the original Script there are 2 Sarah's in the Ballroom and she follows herself who then leads her to Jareth
3.) In the book Sarah after talking to the door knockers, she chooses the one on the left first and finds a forest behind it, where everyone is laughing. She finds that she suddenly can't stop laughing either which makes her so scared that she runs back out and goes through the other door.
4.) Toby was going to be called Freddie in the film but his real name was used so as not to confuse the baby.
5.) The Labyrinth is actually a maze. You can't get lost in a labyrinth as they are actually a path that leads you to a certain point.
6.) David Bowie makes the baby noises in the song Magic Dance
